Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Chautāri is a trip-planning service operated by Saaz Neupane, Nepal. By accessing or using this service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What the service does

Chautāri builds personalised itinerary suggestions for travel in Nepal based on answers you provide. The service is an informational planning tool only. We are not a licensed travel agent, tour operator, or travel insurance provider, and we do not book travel on your behalf.

3. Itineraries are suggestions only

Permit fees, visa requirements, entry regulations, and trail conditions in Nepal change frequently. Always verify current requirements with official Nepal government sources or your nearest Nepali embassy. Chautāri accepts no liability for decisions made based on itinerary content.

4. User accounts

• One account per person. You must be 18 or older to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information at registration and keep it up to date.

5. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Scrape, crawl, or extract content from the service by automated means.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security controls.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense itinerary content without our written consent.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

6. Paid access (Trip Pass)

• The Trip Pass is a one-time purchase that unlocks all paid features for 90 days from the date of purchase. It does not renew, does not require cancellation, and is the only paid offering. Payment is processed by Stripe.
• 30-day money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied with your Trip Pass for any reason, email us within 30 days of purchase and we will refund it in full. Refunded passes are deactivated.
• We reserve the right to change the Trip Pass price at any time. A price change never affects a pass already purchased.
• If you previously purchased a recurring subscription while one was offered, it remains governed by the terms shown at your time of purchase and can be cancelled from your account settings.

7. Affiliate and referral links

Some destination pages, sample itineraries, and personalised itineraries include links to third-party booking services (such as accommodation or activity providers). If you book through one of these links, we may earn a referral fee, at no extra cost to you. These links do not affect the independence of our destination content or itinerary recommendations, and we are not responsible for the third party's pricing, availability, or service.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the Chautāri platform (including destination descriptions, itinerary structures, UI design, and editorial text) is owned by or licensed to Saaz Neupane. You may not copy or reproduce it for commercial purposes without written permission. Your personal itinerary data belongs to you.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Saaz Neupane and Chautāri shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to travel decisions made based on itinerary content, inaccuracies in permit or visa information, or service unavailability.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Nepal.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users of material changes via email.
